Peachtree 2010 and future plans
Yesterday’s Preachtree road race in Atlanta was really great. The weather was perfect, my number had me up front with my brother-in-law and the fans and bands were great along the way. I was able to post a post college PR of 38:42 and I felt like I could have pushed a little harder on mile 5 so there is more hope for future PRs. My wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law also did great and we really racked up on all of the free snacks after the race.
So next up on the list is to enter the base phase of the marathon training for the 2010 Greenville Marathon. My plan is to get the miles up to 60 or so a week and then incorporate speed work. I feel like all of the track work that I have done really helped with the Peachtree this year so I will see what it can do for the marathon.
